Djuvik Camping

Djuvik Camping is situated by the World Heritage listed Sognefjord, and placed along road no 13 between the center of Vik and Vangsnes. Djuvik Camping has 20 cabins of different sizes and standards, and offers electric connections to motor homes, caravans and tents. Sanitary facilities are excellent, with floor heating and special rooms for disabled persons. There are boats for hire, and a harbour for small boats belonging to the guests. There are great opportunities for fishing and bathing, and Djuvik Camping is a well-chosen starting point for hiking around in the beautiful mountain areas. There are daily excursions by boat to for instance, Fjærland with its Glacier centre, and to Flåm and Bergen. In the centre of Vik, 5 km from Djuvik Camping, there are a 12th century stave church and a stonechurch dated from about the same age, and a dairy which makes a famous Norwegian cheese – Gammalost. Here is also Øyri, a protected quarter with smaller houses, constituting a village within the center of Vik. In the river Vikja there is salmonfishing in the season.
